Artist Rasher launches his ‘Womb To Tomb’ exhibition

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

Elaine’s brother-in-law Mark Kavanagh (aka Rasher) launched his new exhibition entitled ‘Womb to Tomb’ at the Treasury Building in Dublin, Ireland this month.

‘Womb to Tomb’, Rasher’s most recent body of work, explores the realms of the living and the dead, and the blurred spaces in-between. The work is a razor sharp commentary on the way we live today. The world we inhabit can be beautiful, it can be meaningful, but it can also conceal a harsh reality. It can sell us an ideal of comfort, luxury, and immortality, but the elemental truths of our existence, namely life and death, are everpresent.

The exhibition can be seen at Connaught House, 1 Burlington Road, Dublin 4 and will be open daily until friday 19th November 2010. For more info on the exhibition and Rasher, please visit www.rasher.ie
