Site member Regina discovered today on Wikipedia that it now states Elaine is married to Stephen Lord; however Wikipedia tends to be a source in which anyone can put almost anything, so I thought it best to confirm the information before trusting in it, and it is in fact true. Elaine and Stephen got married on New Years Eve (and Elaine's birthday) last year
» Thanks to Regina for the heads up
PS ... we have a brand new Commenting system which I've created and designed specifically for this site, instead of having to rely on outside software, so please make sure to leave a comment or two, give feedback or just say 'Hi' in each news section
Just a quick update to let you all know that we have a brand spanking new Guestbook for you all to sign If you signed the previous Guestbook, unfortunately it has been lost due to the company Viper who ran the previous Guestbook, deciding not to continue with their project, so please feel free to re-sign the new Guestbook to comment on the new site, ask a question or just say 'Hi'
We also have a new Chatroom, which is the same as the old one, however it had to be re-done from scratch again due to the domain change over, so you will all need to re-register again in order to use it.
There is also a new flash search on the Index page which will also be added to the Home page very soon along with a new news scroller/ticker
The site change over is almost complete, with only the Print interview/article pages to be completed. There is also many more exciting new things to come, such as funky mini galleries, slide shows, vidoes and more games, so stay tuned
Since I'm in Australia, I couldn't watch the IFTA Awards last Sunday night; therefore I was (as I think most others were/are) completely oblivious to a major 'boo boo' that happened during the nights ceremony and to which I've just discovered via an ariticle from Independent Ireland:
And the award goes to.... nobody
by Larissa Nolan Sunday February 24 2008
The late screen star and first lady, Eva Peron, famously once said "my biggest fear is to be forgotten."
So it's lucky Eva was not at the Irish Film and Television Awards last week, when the organisers forgot to hand out the award in the Best Supporting Actress category.
It was a massive faux pas in an industry populated by prima donnas. While the winner of the award, Atonement star Saoirse Ronan was not in attendance, three other nominees Elaine Cassidy, Gail Fitzpatrick and Anne Marie Duff were left disappointed after breathlessly awaiting their moment in the spotlight.
But that moment never came. The three ladies were left shocked and hurt and their families were furious at their omission after making the time and effort to be there.
A spokesperson for the IFTAs explained that the farcical episode occurred due to "human error". The spokesperson explained that the mix-up was really down to changing schedules.
"The Best Supporting Actress category had been moved from an earlier part of the schedule to a later part, but human error resulted regrettably in this award not being included in the presentation."
IFTA representatives approached the actresses as soon as the incident was brought to their attention.
"They were genuinely understanding of the error," said the spokesperson. Gail Fitzpatrick said afterwards: "I was happy I was nominated in that category and that's all I would like to say."
A nominee in another category was the stunning Kathy Hoffman, but as Kathy presents a show for Channel 6 she, and others who don't work for RTE, didn't make the 'A List' for the televised version of the IFTAs.
Oops! No wonder we couldn't find any footage of Elaine up for her nomination But for those of you who'd like to at least see a glimpse of Elaine at the ceremony, you can see her for a quick second alongside Stephen, sitting behind Best Supporting Actor in Film winner Brendan Conroy on YouTube.
The winners from the Irish Film & Television Awards have been announced and unfortunately (for us) young actress Saoirse Ronan (left) received the Best Supporting Actress trophy over Elaine for her role in Atonement. Although Elaine didn't win, our congratulations go out to Saoirse and all the other IFTA Award winners
» Thanks to member regina for letting us know.
WhileElaine wasn't a winner on the night, member Lou was able to find a picture of her on the red carpet posing alongside her WATERMELON co-star Sean McGinley. For the full version, please visit the GALLERY.
On a more technical note, for those of you who are having trouble seeing the Elaine Slide Show Animation situated in the banner, you need to update your Adobe Flash Player to the latest version (9.0.115.0). Before you update, it is highly recommended that you use the Adobe Flash Uninstaller to uninstall any previous/older versions of the Adobe Flash Player.
If you already have Adobe Flash Player 9+, right click on the slide show and choose 'About Adobe Flash Player' from the drop down.
This page will also tell you what version Flash Player you have installed. If the above information appears, the slide show should then work after you refresh the website 'Home' page. If it doesn't work, you need to go back and install or re-install the latest Flash Player.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but it's unfortunately what you get when bugs are constantly found in 'certain' software
I found out yesterday that Elaine has new UK representation in ARG Talent (who also represent Daniel Raddcliffe from Harry Potter) and is no longer with Independent Talent formerly ICM.

You may have all noticed the FORUM disappeared for a little while and at the moment the GALLERY has been temporarily shut down all in order to change everything over to the new domain www.elainecassidy.com. While the FORUM is back up and running on it's new address (the love-n-lemons.com version has been permanently shut down), the GALLERY will be closed for a little while longer since the files for the GALLERY are a little larger and take longer to upload; however it will be back up and running as soon as possible, so keep checking back
Elaine's new movie AND WHEN DID YOU LAST SEE YOUR FATHER? has been released for purchase on DVD for £11.98. To grab your copy, you can visit the Elaine Cassidy Amazon UK Store which is located in the STORES section of the navigation panel or by clicking the above link
Hi everyone! As you may have noticed, the site design has been slowly changing over the last week or so and now comes the unveiling of the new website design. Although it's not quite finished yet and will be a slow work in progression from now on due to my shoulder surgery being later today, I will do my best to keep you all up to date and add as much as I can once I've had a bit of recovery time, so I hope you will all bare with me
Some of the new features include a brand new flash tree menu, a flash animation of various Elaine images in the new site banner, new colours and a beautiful new logo. We also have 3 new stores. One called Zazzle, which has heaps of great merchandise and willl soon feature more designs; for now it only has the new Lemon Logo I created a few weeks back, and an Amazon US and Amazon UK store, so you can get all the latest Elaine DVD's, plus anything else Elaine related right here at Elaine Cassidy :: Love 'n' Lemons
Some features to come are a news ticker to be placed just below the banner, new games, slide shows, mini galleries, videos + much more.
Unfortunately this is all I have been able to complete for now, but in the meantime while I recover a bit from surgery & then finish the site, the old version will still be available for you all to view at any time.
I hope you all like the new design (so far ...)
